Although LCM Environmental has been actively providing incident and spill response cover throughout the UK for the last ten years it was only in the last few years that we decided to enhance the service to provide our ever growing client list a service that would provide them with the cover they would need should an incident occur anywhere in the United Kingdom.
Since then we have developed not only in manpower but equipment and knowledge, in light of this we have recently increased our capability to include more incident response bases throughout the UK to further drive down our response time down and save our clients precious minutes in the aftermath of any incident.
We now provide our 24 hour response services from the following bases:
These new bases now enable us to attend any incident within the UK within four hours of the initial call, with the average being two hours.
Our range of clients extends from national response to major oil companies, hire companies, builder’s merchants, wind generator operators, electricity companies and the MOD.
In all cases the principles of our response are as follows:
- Rapid response with equipped and trained staff to enable containment and immediate mitigation to minimise the extent of the incident and possible harm to the environment and property
- Trained Incident Manager to co-ordinate response on behalf of client and deal with all agencies involved
- Minimise cost and impact of the incident through appropriate early action and appropriate post incident management
- Ensure client stays in control and to act on their behalf in handling third parties; Environment Agency, Insurers, Environmental Consultants, Local Authorities
- Manage any remediation action under supervision of appointed Environmental Consultant
