Site Decommissioning & Demolition

LCM Environmental Ltd. Site Decommission encompasses all aspects of LCM Remediation and incorporates other aspects and services from our other core products.

LCM Decommissioning is the single most popular choice for any major oil company or independent operator as the site is left completely bare and fully remediated and ready for development.

A full site decommission consists of a range of tasks, they are generally as follows;

  • Initial closure and shut down on a site
  • Emptying of product from tanks and draining down fuel lines
  • Removal of fuel pumps
  • Removal of signage
  • Degassing of tanks
  • Break out forecourt
  • Possible entry into fuel tanks
  • Tank removal
  • Canopy removal
  • Pipe work removal
  • Remediation of area around tanks; removal of contaminated soils and replacement with clean ballast.
  • Removal of any existing buildings
  • Removal of any hard standing
  • Level off site
  • Leave site secure

LCM liaises with the appointed environmental consultant, or directly to the client when a full site decommission is taking place.

LCM ensures that all approvals are obtained prior to starting work and that all work is conducted in accordance with all regulations and industry best practice.

LCMs own management team will supervise the work on site and we welcome third party inspection.
