Petroscope Tank Inspections

LCM Environmental in partnership with Tanknology UK Ltd., have created a revolutionary system, which enables us to inspect garage fuel storage tanks without the high risk and cost involved in manned entry. It also enables the garage forecourt to remain open throughout the operation.

With our Petroscope Tank Inspection service the fuel inside tank is uplifted and held on site in one of our Petroleum Regulated Tankers whilst the tank is purged with Nitrogen using a specially developed, by LCM Environmental, Nitrogen Generator. Once the tank has been certified gas-free Tanknology UK’s remotely operated Petroscope camera is lowered into the tank through the fill pipe to give a detailed visual inspection.

Using Petroscope Tank Inspections offers a unique view of the interior of the tank and as part of the service the whole inspection is recorded onto DVD and accompanied with a full report and recommendations by a qualified corrosion expert for the client to view.

Our Petroscope Tank Inspection service can now provide real justification for manned entry for sludge removal, Bio-Klenz® Tank Cleaning, maintenance or non-destructive testing should that be necessary.
